Al-Nahrain Center Holds a Workshop on the Occasion of World Environment Day

On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Energy, Water and Environment Department at Al-Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies, in cooperation with the Popular Aid Organization, held a specialized workshop addressing the most prominent environmental challenges facing Iraq, ways to enhance environmental awareness, support national policies aimed at protecting natural resources and improving the environment, and the possibility of developing legislation.

The workshop witnessed the participation of a number of researchers, experts, and specialists in environmental affairs. Participants discussed issues related to climate change, environmental pollution, water resources management, and mechanisms for promoting responsible environmental behavior at the institutional and community levels.

The speakers emphasized the importance of unifying governmental, academic, and community efforts to confront the growing environmental challenges, stressing that environmental protection represents a shared responsibility that requires continuous work and scientific planning based on knowledge and research.
